Meet the Owners
Jean, Marie, and our daughter Daliana would like to thank you for visiting the Mount Vernon House website and for taking the time to read about us as we welcome you to our Assisted Living Community and to our family as well.
Our journey in healthcare started a long time ago in Haiti and continued in New York. However, we actually found our new home in 2007 when East Texas Medical Center rescued Jean from the cold in the Northeast to relocate our family to Mount Vernon.
The town welcomed us with open arms for which we are grateful. We have, since then, worked tirelessly to provide quality care to our patients at Franklin County Rural Health Clinic, and, now, at Mount Vernon House Assisted Living.
At the clinic, Dr. Jean and our family carried our patients in our hearts which made it easier for us to approach Beverly after the death of her husband Milton to discuss purchasing the facility from their family after twenty-five years of dedicating their lives to the people in the area and beyond.
After many productive negotiations for over two years, our family felt honored in July of 2019 to receive the torch to carry their legacy at the Mount Vernon House. We thank the Kelley family for entrusting its dream to us. We also thank God for allowing us to fulfill ours and to maintain the Assisted Living facility as a locally owned business.
We visit our patients frequently at the facility so we can learn to know them and their loved ones, as well as our dedicated and caring staff which plays an essential role in providing exceptional care and in pursuing excellence. Together, we strive to create a communal atmosphere which makes all feel at home.
We hope that, based on our credentials, you feel inspired by our commitment to assign your loved ones to our loving and palpable care at the Mount Vernon House.
